On June 1, 2026, Fox ESS opened its Phase II manufacturing facility in Wenzhou, China.
The new site covers approximately 46,000 square metres and focuses on PCBA, battery products, and key commercial and industrial energy storage products, with battery energy storage forming a core part of the facility’s production focus.[4]
The numbers give a clearer sense of the scale.
The facility operates at an overall automation level of more than 60%, with production lines capable of producing one battery pack every seven seconds. Fox ESS also reports that improvements to logistics have reduced the time from raw-material receiving to line commissioning from around 30 minutes to less than five minutes.[4]
Speed, however, is only one side of manufacturing.
The plant also uses an end-to-end product traceability system designed to provide visibility across components, manufacturing stages, and quality checkpoints.[4]
For a distributor, this part of the factory story may be less visible than a new product launch. In practice, it can be more important. Production consistency, traceability, delivery, warranty handling, and after-sales service all become harder to manage as volume increases.
Manufacturing capacity has to grow with the market, but so does the system around it.
